SHORT TALK:"CitiSense: Results from a User Study of a Real-Time Mobile Air Quality Sensing Platform",

Abstract:In this presentation I will present the results of an "inthe wild" user study looking at theCitiSensereal-time mobile airquality sensor. The sensor is the first of it's kind, and allows forindividuals to see their personal pollutant exposure in real time.Participants were encouraged to carry the sensors for a month andreported on how having access to the air data in real time changed howthey thought about their environment, and how this influenced theirindividual behaviors and their interactions with others.
