Our program for entrepreneurs – “Get Control of Your F.A.T. (finance, accounting and tax) in Your Lean Startup†– has been so successful, we’re hosting additional lunch-and-learn sessions with the New York law firm of Gibney, Anthony & Flaherty, LLP. The new program – “Go from F.A.T. to F.L.A.T (finance, legal, accounting and tax)†– introduces classes that focus on the legal and financial questions that all entrepreneurs face when starting up a new company.
Session 1 - You (and Your Partners) have Developed a Unique Product or Idea. Now What?
Our first session, on Tuesday, June 5 will focus on how you can protect, secure and capitalize on the IP you own.
Come spend 90 minutes with us and learn the essentials of IP ownership you need to know, among them:
- How do you know when you need to obtain a patent to protect your invention or idea?
- How should you protect your copyrights and trademarks?
- What happens when someone else steals your ideas?
- Is your company website protected?
- How can you maximize the value of your intellectual property by finding alternative uses with the help of strategic partners?
