Hello NYC Kubernauts!
We have a couple of exciting talks planned for November.
First, Sarthak Gangopadhyay from Google Cloud Platform's Apigee team will present on the relationship between API management & Istio service meshes. He'll speak to lesson's learned from the field & in relation to their own systems.
We also have Kevin from Squarespace presenting on some of the exciting new features in Kubernetes 1.8 - using CustomResourceDefinitions, Dynamic Admission Control, & Initializers to control how applications operate with Kubernetes & how to finely manage Kubernetes itself. Come listen to him speak on the provided Go client libraries & how to use code generators to quickly create cloud native applications.

Bios
Sarthak Gangopadhyay isa Customer Engineer for Google Cloud Platform's Apigee team. He works as an API evangelist to Fortune 2000 organizations, helping them shape their API program for both legacy apps & microservices.
Kevin Lynch (@KevML) is a Staff Engineer on the Site Reliability team at Squarespace. He focuses his efforts on eliminating the complexities of datacenters with the help of automation. He received his BSc & MSc degrees in Computer Science from Drexel University. During his time there he worked on a variety of different projects including processor design, source code transformation, & autonomic computing.

For capacity planning reasons, you must RSVP to be allowed by security into the building, & must have a valid photo ID. We'll be accepting registrations until space fills.
The event will be held onWednesday, October 25th at Squarespace's office in the West Village, at8 Clarkson St, 12th Floor. Doors open & food will be served at6:30 PM, & talks start at7:00 PM.
