Talk (description below)

Min-Fireside Chat with Grant

Talk Description:

Grant tells the story of how he leveled up his team through iterating on their software development process. His team went from an ad-hoc development process to Scrum, which introduced needed discipline and rigor to their development process. However, 1 year into scrum, his team's morale was tanking because of sprint deadlines and all-day sprint planning meetings. They found a better way through implementing Kanban. They kept many of the rituals and practices that Scrum introduced, and removed the rigid sprint deadlines every 2 weeks. As a result, the team is much happier and still just as disciplined.

The talk will expand on this blog post:

As always, a group of us will hang out afterwards at a bar nearby.
We like to hang out at Rye, which is at 11 W 17th St, New York, NY 10011, between Avenue of Americas and 5th. They have both drinks and food. http://ryehousenyc.com/
