Agenda:

Fireside chat with very senior CISO - I cannot disclose identity due to media restriction - I promise it will be GREAT discussion!

Michael Landewe, Avanan

Michael has over two decades of technology startup experience. He began his career selling IBM compatible computers from his college dorm and cofounding a regional ISP. After developing space robot control systems at NASA Ames Smart Systems Lab he soon joined as an early employee of a few security startups, most recently ForeScout Technologies.

While at ForeScout he was part of the core group that introduced Network Access Control into what was then an intrusion detection company. This became its breakaway productgenerating $150M in revenue, becoming #1 in Gartner and Forresters industry category and leading to the companys eventual IPO.

Two years ago, this same core group developed a new productCloud Access Control but with ForeScouts blessing, decided to take some funding and start a new company, now called Avanan.

Avanan has since become a full-featured, defense-in-depth security solution for the public cloud. Without the need for an agent, VPN or proxy it provides the full stack of data security tools for enterpriseSaaS applications like Office365, GoogleDocs, Dropbox and Salesforce. It combines best-of-breed data leakage prevention, malware protection, encryption, anomaly detection and compliance management in a platform that scales to the largest of companies. Out of beta and releasing later this summer, the software is installed in a number pre-release customers across multiple industry verticals.

Biometrics for a More Secure, Password-less Experience

Bojan Simic is the CTO at Biometric Security platform Hypr Corp. He is responsible for all engineering and technical management of HyprKey and has also performed penetration tests, threat modeling, and security code reviews of hundreds of software programs. Bojan has conducted research in the field of web application security, cryptography, and has experience doing developer training on web application best practices, architecture, and security.

TrapX, Glen Sharlun

How Cyber Deception Improves the Defender's Situational Awareness (Visibility), and Annihilates the Attackers'!

Glen is currently responsible for Field Operations for TrapX Security, a leader in the delivery of deception-based cyber security defense. Building off classified deception research started in the 90s and then a decade and a half of assessing, buying, fielding, operationalizing, sustaining, developing, servicing and selling enterprise security solutions to G2000 companies and governments, has come back to his (Sun Tzus) roots. All warfare is based on Deception.

Glen has a diverse 30-year security background that has fused together some unique perspectives on cyber operations. From leading Special Operations Marines across beaches to Chief Information Security Officer, U.S. Marine Corps and then Development Lead for small security start-up, to VP, Sales of that Public (IPO) and then acquired (HP) company (ArcSight). Glen has been IANS faculty, SANS instructor, invited speaker at the Pentagon Security Forum and graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School and U.S. Naval Academy.
