Customers are combining various technologies like Internet of Things (IOT) , Analytics & Machine Learning to build smart systems on AWS. Today we will discuss how the 3 pillars of IOT (Intelligence , Orchestration & Things) can be a major disruption for traditional industries & problems.

In the first session by Neel Mitra from AWS, we will dive deep into the AWS IOT platform & its design patterns, along with serverless data lake architecture & Machine Learning. This session will help understand the benefits of the AWS IoT ecosystem, & generally speaking how serverless capabilities allow customers to let AWS manage the undifferentiated heavy lifting of managing the underlying technology infrastructure so that they can concentrate on their business goals.
In the second session by Will Ng from Solstice, we'll take a close look at how a client of Solstice built a connected smoke detector, including the solution & challenges faced along the way. Will will also share a couple of the IoT R&D projects they are working on.
