Dear CS Education Community,

Welcome back to school! Were excited for the new year.

We have some exciting news to share. Over the summer, while you were running programs, attending PD, or relaxing at the beach, we started a new CSTA chapter for New York City.

TheComputer Science Teachers Associationis the national member organization for CS teachers. We plan to build on the CSNYC Meetup & formalize our association of CS teachers + teachers who teach CS. This group includes our amazing nonprofit partners, afterschool leaders, & all of you who have made formal & informal CS education in happen for NYC students. We believe this is the alliance that will help us achieve #CSforAll.

Our first joint CSTA/CSNYC Meetup will be held on Cornell Techs brand new campus on Wednesday, September 27at 6 PM. Well use this time for a conversation about what you want from the new CSTA chapter & discuss the events we might host during the year. Well catch up on the NYCDOEs new CS4All Blueprint, the latest from the CSforAll Consortium, & take you all on a tour of the new campus on Roosevelt Island. Food & beverages as always.
