 The main Global Summit Day on January 15, 2014 is hosted by Columbia University. The event will also feature Mentoring Roundtables, a Career Fair, an Innovation and Social Innovation Fair, an Art & Design Exhibition, and and two Field Immersion & Career Days hosted by corporate partners such as McGraw-Hill Financial on January 14 and January 16, 2014. 
 
The main purpose of this Womensphere Foundation Summit is to convene next generation of women leaders and innovators, to invest in advancing their leadership and innovation capabilities, and to enable them to build connections with resources, experts, potential mentors, and with each other. 
In the fifth year of hosting this Summit, the Womensphere Foundation brings together emerging women leaders, innovators, scientists, creators, academic leaders, lawyers, policy analysts, entrepreneurs, and social entrepreneurs to expand opportunities, create community, build connections, and inspire collaborations that create the future.

 PARTICIPATING at the 5th Womensphere Emerging Leaders Global Summit 2014: There are six types of participants at the Summit: Distinguished Speakers, Delegates, Mentors/Roundtable Leaders, Corporate Participants/Partners/Recruiters, NGO Participants/Partners/Recruiters, and Academic Participants/Partners/Recruiters. Sponsored Delegates - participating at the Summit are emerging women leaders and innovators primarily selected and sponsored by their academic institution (graduate and undergraduate), organization, or company, and are typically emerging leaders, innovators, scientists, artists, creators, and high-potential young professionals and emerging managers. Self-sponsored Delegates - There are also a limited number of places available for open, self-sponsored registration by emerging women leaders/professionals/managers and female graduate/undergraduate students. Mentors/Roundtable Leaders - are either self-sponsored professionals and leaders, or organization/corporate-sponsored professionals and leaders, who participate in the Summit to lead roundtables and discussions, and to invite ideas exchange among Summit Delegates. Corporations, NGOs, and Academic Institutions participate through a number of ways: 1) Being Official Partners and Supporters of the Summit, sending Delegates, Distinguished Speakers, Mentors/Roundtable Leaders, and participating in the Career Fair and Academic Fair 2) Sending Official Delegates to participate in the Summit as Delegates and/or Mentors/Roundtable Leaders 3) Recruiting at the Summit
 
SUMMIT OBJECTIVES & SCHEDULE
The 5th Annual Womensphere Emerging Leaders Global Summit will convene emerging women leaders (graduate students, undergraduate students, young professionals, and emerging managers), together with global leaders, innovators, and mentors, coming from across a wide range of disciplines, academic institutions, and industries, who are focused on investing in their personal development as leaders and innovators, and who are actively engaged in creating inspiring positive impact in the world.
At this Summit, the Womensphere Foundation brings together emerging women leaders, innovators, young professionals, scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, and social entrepreneurs to expand opportunities, create community, build connections, and inspire collaborations. 
This Summit aims to create inspiration, education, and connections for emerging women leaders, in line with Womensphere's purpose of unleashing potential, creating opportunity, inspiring impact, and transforming the world. 
This year's additional goals are around community, collaboration, impact, and creating a platform that enables participants to collaborate on working together on an actionable agenda for the evolution of our global society, and the evolution of women's leadership and innovation globally. This Summit will be about building a community of emerging women leaders across sectors and disciplines, including emerging women leaders across the premier academic institutions (both graduate and undergraduate) around the world, as well as young women professionals and emerging women leaders across international organizations, companies, entrepreneurial ventures, social enterprises, BCorps, non-profits, NGOs, and the public sector.
DELEGATE PARTICIPATION
Delegates will have the opportunity to participate through speaker Q&A, discussion circles, collaboration circles, Creating Impact discussions, and multiple Fairs (Career Fair, Academic Fair, NGO Fair, Social Innovation Fair) taking place throughout the Main Summit Day and Immersion Days. 
The program also offers ample opportunities to network and build connections with speakers, fellow delegates, NGO representatives, academic representatives, and company representatives across disciplines and industries.
IMMERSION DAYS
In addition to the Main Day of the Summit, the Summit's two Immersion Days enable Delegates to be in the real world where the action takes place - as the Immersions are hosted in corporate and institutional venues throughout New York City. The Immersion Days enable Delegates to participate in forums focused on specific disciplines and industries, providing interested Delegates with opportunities to do more focused networking and have greater exposure to areas of interest.
