// BACKGROUND//
The Mayor's Office of Civic Innovation (MOCI) has been working collaboratively to revise the existing Open Data legislation for the City and County of San Francisco. In researching best practices around open data, we have turned to New York City's evolving open data legislation as well as the open data guidelines outlined by the Sunlight Foundation. With the help of our collaborators, we have developed the policy as far as we can. Now we need your help to make this revised policy as strong as possible before submitting it to the legislative process this September. We look forward to your help in crafting the best possible Open Data legislation for the City and County of San Francisco.
