Excited to kick off our Fall events with a user group focused on RAFT.
Replica sets in MongoDB are built upon consensus algorithms for leader election & operation log replication. So we're excited to have Laura Hampton join our community to talk about Raft implementation in Python
Raft Implementation in Python
Computing infrastructure is becoming increasingly distributed, but how do such systems work? This talk will introduce the Raft distributed consensus algorithm as implemented in Python. In this talk, you will learn how Raft works, & how it solves the problem of replicating data across multiple state machines.
Laura Hampton is a Python developer living in New York, who has implemented a version of the Raft distributed consensus algorithm in Python. She is excited to share her knowledge with the MongoDB community.
We'll have pizza & refreshments for all who attend! See you there!
