7:00-7:30 Structured small-group discussions around topic of education innovation originating through nonprofit<==>EdTech partnerships; share-out with full group

7:30-8:00 Give/Gets + additional networking time

For this event we will explore the intersection between EdTech and community oriented nonprofits. We will hear from a panel of nonprofits, and then break out into small groups for deeper discussions.

Nonprofits are essential to the fabric of many urban school systems. Historically, nonprofits have been a great source of innovation in public education systems. Today, nonprofits continue to originate innovative practices that are applied in schools, and they also partner with other innovators, including EdTech companies. For some EdTech companies, nonprofits have been integral to their growth strategies.

We will hear from a panel of innovative nonprofits that have partnered with EdTech companies:

kecia Hayes, TC REACH

Kate del Priore, Schools that Can

Lucy Herz, Student Success Network

Wenimo Okoya, Children's Health Fund

* If you are working on a project that's related to this topic, please let us know! We are interested in using real challenges as the foundation of our small group discussions.
