For this workshop, the attendees will walk through the steps that constitute one of many possible data science projects. In recognition of the fact that the possible outcomes of a data science project is more graph that can take many directions, than a series of steps this workshop is organized that graph, so as we work through the topics we'll discuss the "parallel" universe where the project could've gone.

For example, after a model is trained one outcome could be a report, so we'll discuss how to prepare reproduce-able reports, but it could also be an API that allow other people to interact with the model, so we'll discuss how a model can be integrated into a web server for real-time predictions.

What to Know and Bring
This is an intermediate workshop.Please provide your ownlaptop with standard Python environments set up in advance. The following terminal command should cover everything:

$(pip or conda) installjupyter seaborn scikit-learn flask

About the Speakers

Trent Hauck is a senior data scientist at Zymergen. Prior to that, he worked with companies to improve their operations through direct application of data science and engineering, or by improving their data and analytical capabilities.
