Our panelists are currently working at top companies in the pharmaceutical, financial, and tech industries. They will be talking about their perspective on the field, their work environments, and the products they are developing. We will also discuss industry directions and what it takes to become a competitive applicant. The event is open to all students who are interested in the computer science industry.</SPAN></P>

<P><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-size: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;">Gloria is currently a software engineer at the Google NYC office. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science in 2012, and has been working at Google for 2.5 years. Her product area is Display Ads, specifically the DoubleClick for Publishers product. DFP is an ad trafficking and serving platform that brings publishers valuable ad revenue to keep their business running.</SPAN></P>

<P STYLE="background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-size: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Arial;">Dr. Yu received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Zhejiang University, China in 2006. In 2008, he started his PhD in Department of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University. He then joined Califano lab for his dissertation and received the PhD degree in 2012. His thesis work was on integrating systems biology and functional genomics to identify drivers and therapeutic targets of human cancers. His PhD work was published in top journals such as Cancer Cell. Right after his PhD, he joined the computational biology group at Pfizer Oncology as a senior scientist. His current work at Pfizer is to develop software and algorithms to analyze functional genomics NGS data and to integrate with large-scaled genetic/genomic data for pharmacological target identification of human tumors.</SPAN></P>

<P STYLE="background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-size: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Arial;">Yuan is a software engineer in Facebook. She graduated from Columbia University in Dec 2012 and got her master degree in CS major. She has worked at Facebook New York office for almost two years since then. She worked on web development in last year and now she is focusing on Android app development.</SPAN></P>

<P STYLE="background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-size: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;"><SPAN STYLE="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Arial;">Mia is currently working in Bank of America, Merrill Lynch. Her team is called Quartz Core, which is known as an integrated platform for both Global Market trading and risk management, from front to back, across all financial assets. Before that she enrolled in Barclays' technology rotation program for one and half year, working in Rates, Prime Service and Mortgage Securities. In addition to the financial industry working experience, Mia did a summer internship in the Bing Search team in Microsoft. She got a master degree in Computer Science from Columbia University.</SPAN></P>
