You're invited to the BigApps Sims Recycling Facility Tour on Thursday August 27!
Have you always wondered how New York City processes its recycling? Do you dream of a city that sends no waste to landfills? Will you build the app that gives New Yorkers the tools to actively reduce how much waste they produce in their daily lives?
Join us for a tour of the Sims Recycling Facility followed by Q&A with the Department of Sanitation, Pure Energy Partners, and the NYCEDC. Throughout the tour, you will see how the City of New York processes waste, manages recycling, and treats different waste streams.
The entrance to the Sims Recycling Facility is on 29th Street & 2nd Ave in Brooklyn, and is nearest to the 25th Street subway stop on the R line. Please wear closed-toe shoes.
