We're honored and excited to have the mighty Mattt Thompsonback in NYC this month to present at the New York iOS Developer Meetup!

If you're not yet acquainted with Mattt, he is a developer and designer living in Portland, OR, and the creator of AFNetworking and the wonderful NSHipster blog, along with a large number of extremely useful open source iOS projects. Previously, Mattt has worked with Panic, Heroku, and Gowalla and is distinguished as one of a select few non-Apple employees who has presented a session at WWDC.

Mattt is also author of three great books, NSHipster - Obscure Topics in Cocoa & Objective-C; CFHipsterRef: Low-Level Programming on iOS & Mac OS X; and The NSHipster Fake Book: 200+ Objective-C Licks for iOS & Mac OS X Developers.

For his presentation, Mattt will talk about adapting AFNetworking (https://github.com/afnetworking/afnetworking) to Swift, and what Swift means to software design and open source. The presentation will include both technical and non-technical considerations, and should be appropriate to anyone interested in the subject.

We're hosted this month by the kind folks at Hearst (thanks Jim!) in the iconic Hearst Tower. After the presentation, Hearst is serving food and drinks in the beautiful reception space outside the auditorium, so definitely plan to stick around afterwards for that. Huge thanks to Hearst for hosting, as well as generously sponsoring Mattt's trip out here.
