<P>Join Columbia Technology Ventures for a lunch event featuring emerging growth advisors and creators of Mintz Levin's MintzEdge program (<A TITLE="MintzEdge" HREF="http://www.mintzedge.com/" TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow">www.mintzedge.com</A>) Daniel DeWolf, Samuel Effron, and Jay Clare. Together, the MintzEdge team will discuss the ins and outs of convertible notes for startups, including the advantages and disadvantages from a legal and funding perspective.</P>

<P><STRONG>Dan DeWolf</STRONG> is Co-chair of Mintz Levin's Venture Capital & Emerging Companies Practice Group and Chair of their Technology Practice Group. In addition to his active legal practice, he is an adjunct professor of law at the NYU Law School and has a wealth of experience in private equity and venture capital, having co-founded Dawntreader Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm based in New York. Sam Effron is a Senior Associate in the Venture Capital & Emerging Companies Practice Group and Technology Practice Group. Sam's law practice is focused on development of emerging growth companies, fund formation and crowdfunding platforms, and his pre-law experience as a project manager for a digital media agency and as an early employee of a successful start-up informs his legal perspective.</P>
<P><STRONG>Jay Clare</STRONG> is an Associate in the Venture Capital & Emerging Companies Practice Group and Technology Practice Group. Jay's practice is centered around emerging company financing, both from the company and the investor side, and other strategic emerging company transactions, such as university patent licenses. Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Jay was a technology licensing officer at Columbia Technology Ventures, the technology transfer arm of Columbia University.</P>
