In the US, public speaking is feared more than death. The reality is we all have to do it - and there is a difference between doing it and doing it well. So how do we get over it? We improvise!
Improv is rooted in communication - listening, responding, focus, attention, flexibility - all of these skills are flexed in good improv. And we all need it - remember the Michael Bay Samsung breakdown? (Google it if you dont!) Flexibility and the ability to roll with it are skills that can be taught, and an essential in public speaking.
But maybe you just want to work on your communication skills. Maybe youve always been curious about improv. Maybe you just want a fun night of class - improv helps you improve in all areas of your life - the worst that happens is you spend a night laughing a lot!
