Description
We are pleased to announce our first Meetup of 2012 with special guest speaker Howard Bloom.

Howard is the author of several provocative books on the nature of human development, scientific progress, capitalism and the secrets of the universe. They include Global Brain, The Genius of the Beast and the upcoming The God Problem. He was also a seminal influence behind many of the biggest music acts of the 70s and 80s. Howard will speak about Space Commercialization - a favorite topic. If you've been a long-time member, you'll recall Howard's rollicking appearance a few years ago for this group. His site is www.howardbloom.net

Whether you attend or not, please consider supporting the awareness campaign for Howard's new book The God Problem on Kickstarter. He needs to reach his goal by June 22nd. The God Problem solves the puzzle of how a Godless cosmos creates and has been receiving lavish praise from thought leaders worldwide. Please visit: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1870526265/the-god-problem-how-a-godless-cosmos-creates-book

We will meet in the back room of Pacific Standard. Our format is about 30 minutes of socializing, followed by Howard's talk, Q&A and some more socializing ending about 9pm. Howard is a true polymath and you are welcome to ask him just about anything!

Our venue is limited in size to about 25 seats, plus about 5-10 standing. Please only rsvp if you sure to show and change your rsvp more than 1 day in advance if you need to. Chronic no-shows and last minute cancellations will be dropped from group, in consideration to attendees.

Look forward to meeting you all there!
