'Structure Your Venture for Impact' with Kyle Westaway
Kyle will walk us through how to choose the best legal structure for small, entrepreneurial ventures. He will focus on new and emerging legal structures such as Benefit Corporations, B Corps and L3Cs. His lectures draw from his experience both as a social entrepreneur and as legal counsel to social entrepreneurs.
Kyle believes in the power of the market to create a positive social and environmental change. He is a cofounder of Biographe – a sustainable style brand that employs and empowers survivors of the commercial sex trade – and Founding Partner of Westaway Law – and innovative Brooklyn law firm that counsels social entrepreneurs. Kyle teaches social entrepreneurship at Harvard Law School.
