B Corps are certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Today, there is a growing community of more than 910 Certified B Corps from 29 countries and 60 industries working together toward ONE unifying goal: to redefine success in business so that companies compete not just to be best in the world, but best for the world. With leading companies like Patagonia, Method, Seventh Generation, King Arthur Flour, New Belgium Brewery, as well and hundreds of small and emerging companies, B Corps are building and defining a new sector of the economy.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
* This workshop will provide an overview of why B Corps are so important as well as:
* The steps companies take to get certified
* The difference between a Certified B Corp and a benefit corporation (a legal entity)
* The free tools and guides offered by B Lab, the nonprofit behind the movement

* Changemakers interested in learning about the leading certificate available to for profit social enterprises
* Individuals contemplating founding a social enterprise or nonprofit
