<P><SPAN><SPAN>Black Girls CODE</SPAN><SPAN> is excited to host our next installment of our first Parent/Daughter Workshop on Saturday, December 10, 2016 in our new flagship office in the Google building in New York CIty! Come join us for this unique parent/daughter experience and a little holiday and office warming party to top off the year!</SPAN></SPAN></P>

<P><SPAN><SPAN>During this workshop, participants and their parents will explore coding fundamentals combining circuits and <SPAN><A HREF="http://littlebits.cc" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="littleBits" REL="noopener noreferrer noopener nofollow noopener noreferrer nofollow nofollow noreferrer nofollow"><SPAN>littleBits</SPAN></A></SPAN> as we introduce The Internet of Things (IoT): a network of physical objects and devices that can be controlled with a series of sensors, electronics, and software used to control objects in the physical world.</SPAN> </SPAN></P>

<P><SPAN><SPAN>Our Tech Divas and their parent partners will learn a little bit about circuits and get to jump into the making and designing together as a team in this introductory IoT class for girls ages 6-13. </SPAN><SPAN>The workshop is designed to encourage student (and parent!)-driven learning, as participants think analytically, design, play and code in real-time. </SPAN></SPAN></P>

<P><SPAN>All BGC workshops are geared towards introducing participants to the technological universe and encouraging them to pursue careers as tech creators and entrepreneurs. </SPAN></P>
<SPAN><BR></SPAN>
<P><SPAN>This class is designed for girls ages 6-13 and parents of all ages. No prior computing experience is necessary.</SPAN></P>
<SPAN><BR></SPAN>
<P><SPAN><SPAN>Registration begins at 9:15AM. The event starts promptly at 10:00AM.</SPAN><SPAN> <SPAN>Participants dont need to bring their laptops and both lunch and light snacks will be provided.</SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></P>

Full refunds will only be provided if request is received 7 days prior to the scheduled event date. Any request submitted within 7 days will not qualify for a cash refund, however students will be given credit for fees paid to attend a future session. After 24 hours prior to the event date, no refund requests will be granted.</SPAN></P>
