Description
Jesse Burros from GetGlue has offered to host and be our pizza sponsor on May 23rd. If you'd like to use that time to warm up for PyGotham, or just talk about any geeky topic your heart desires, please contact me.
I'll be speaking for a bit, asking for info re: what people usually want/need from a developer panel. We'll have two panels at PyGotham: Best Practices, and Web Tools/Tips. If you have the perspective of someone organizing and running their first commercial Python development project, what questions would you want to ask a panel of experienced developers? If you're an experienced developer, what advice would you want to give someone just starting their first commercial software venture, wanting to use Python? Some who are new to Python bring other language and/or CS degree experience, and some do not. How do you address both types of people and the places where they would stumble? What methodology resources would you recommend to lay a good foundation? I welcome you to come and share your thoughts. This should take about an hour, saving the rest of the time for other talks.
Please join us for some interesting brainstorming and pizza.
