Job Description
OpenCrowd seeks a Software Developer in New York, NY to build and test Web 2.0 software components that comply with our collaborative application architecture and detailed design.

Responsibilities
Collaborate on design, development, testing, documentation and/or production support tasks.
Work in a team environment with team lead to scope and estimate deliverables.
Select technologies and create technical design based on client requirements.
Qualifications
Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Operating Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as a Web Developer, Application Developer or similar.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Operating Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related plus five (5) years of progressive experience in the job offered or as a Web Developer, Application Developer or similar.

Experience, which may be gained concurrently, and pre- or post-degree to include one year of each of the following:

developing database-driven, web applications;
front end development (HTML, JavaScript and CSS);
Object Oriented design;
design patterns;
RDBMS database design, including at least one of the following: Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, or PostgreSQL and the ability to write Structured Queries, and analyze and optimize queries for performance.
