Job Description
Are you looking to put your engineering skills to use building beautiful apps for the iOS platform? Thumb Labs is a boutique mobile agency making a name for itself building top class iPhone and iPad applications for our clients. Come join an intimate team of designers and developers that are pushing the boundaries of the most exciting technology platform of the last 10 years. The company is driven primarily by client work, so you'll have an opportunity to work on a wide range of products, but also maintains a keen interest in leveraging our skills to add to a growing library of our own consumer applications.
Responsibilities include utilizing Objective C and iOS Frameworks in the development of iPhone and iPad applications, integration with web-based APIs and back-end technologies, and contributing to overall product architecture and development.
While having these skills is important, we are particularly interested in finding a candidate with the right mindset, and one who is a great personality fit. The ideal applicant is a self-starter that is ready to own projects in full, and has an interest and enthusiasm for dabbling with the full technology stack.
Skills & Requirements
Knowledge of UIKit, Cocoa Touch, and Xcode.
Some experience with Core Data and Core Graphics Frameworks.
A keen attention to detail, and a passion for translating beautiful designs into mobile apps that our customers will love to use.
Ability to communicate with clients and make technology recommendations based on best-of-breed solutions.
Experience developing in teams and using source control software like Git.
Strong understanding of MVC concepts, Design Patterns, and Object Oriented Programming.
