Job Description
Interaction + Visual Designer
Your mission: define the future of the fine art experience.
This means crafting an experience that evokes deep emotions in our users. It means cutting through the noise and connecting people with timeless works of beauty. It means taking a closed-off and intimidating industry, and making it fun, educational, and inspiring to the entire world.
Your mission is incredibly challenging. The 21st century user will experience art through advanced web applications, the iPhone, iPad, and other mobile and touch-screen technologies. We believe these technologies were made for fine art, and the user experience must function cohesively across all different mediums.
Some of the questions you will be facing as part of the design team: How do we show connections between artworks to help people discover art they love? How can we educate users with different levels of art knowledge? How can we enhance the way people experience art in physical space through digital tools?
Skills & experience required: information architecture, flows & structural design, visual design sensibility, user research
You will work with our Design Director to shape the first iterations of our web and mobile products as well as directing the growth of our user experience team.
