Job Description
The Central Park Conservancy is looking for an organized, detail-oriented web intern. Responsibilities will include researching and editing content for the Central Park Conservancy’s website, email, and social media; assisting our Web Manager in updating content using our in-house CMS; and technical planning, wire framing, and coding as needed.
Prerequisites include at least one year of college education and familiarity with current web and social media trends. Knowledge of HTML/CSS, CMSs and Adobe Creative Suite are helpful, but not as important as curiosity and a desire to learn.
The Central Park Conservancy's mission is to restore, manage and enhance the Park in cooperation with the City of New York. In addition to gaining valuable hands-on tech and communications experience, you will get an insider’s look at Central Park, its operations, and its history, working for the not-for-profit organization that led the Park out of one of the worst periods of neglect in its 150-year history and restored it for the enjoyment of 38 million annual visitors.
