Job Description
When you're browsing Kickstarter, do you wonder what makes a project succeed? Question how one project affects the others? Feel a need to analyze the effects of social networks on projects? If those or other data-related questions run through your mind, and you're ready to answer them, come lead those efforts as our Kickstarter Analyst.
Your responsibilities will include
Using your expertise in SQL and other tools (such as R, Stata, SAS, MATLAB, or Python) to help us understand our site, service, and users
Initiating studies of Kickstarter data
Querying our data stores and organizing the results in a usable and insightful format
Acting as the authority on data and metrics related to Kickstarter’s business
Answering data-related questions from various teams
Deriving insight from our data to inform business decisions and minimize risk
