Job Description
Position Overview:
As a Software Engineer behind On Deck's Web Platform, you have an opportunity to create systems that will transform the lending process for thousands of small business owners around the country. The role involves designing and coding solutions to facilitate the loan application process, streamline and automate underwriting, and build interfaces with third party applications such as Salesforce.com. We are looking for engineers with a solid CS grounding to work on multi-tiered systems utilizing Ruby on Rails and various technologies such as Java, Javascript, Ajax, JQuery, etc.
Qualifications:
At least 2+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails
Solid object oriented design skills
Experience with Javascript, JQuery, Web Services and MVC frameworks
Solid coding practices including good design documentation and solid unit testing
Experience working on robust, multi-tiered, accurate and scalable architectures
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Experience in agile development methodologies a plus
Experience integrating applications with Salesforce.com
Experience leading small teams through the software development life cycle
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and enhance On Deck's brand new Customer Portal.
Develop On Deck's web services API
Create tools and test infrastructure to improve the accuracy and reliability of On Deck's Web Applications |
