Job Description
We are doing the unsexy work of creating usable software tools for the men and women who keep our buildings heated, cooled, watered, and powered. You are tired of seeing new techology used to create entertaining wastes of time; you want to use your skills to reduce actual waste. You want to help operations and maintenance staff run their buildings more efficiently. You want to save money, fuel, and the environment. We want to meet you.
Our product, LogCheck, is a digital replacement for the paper logbooks still widely used in boiler rooms everywhere. LogCheck stands out among a field of expensive, complicated, hard-to-use systems by being quick to deploy and easy to learn.
LogCheck is actively used in over fifty buildings and facilities, including San Francisco State University, Hearst Tower, The Solaire, and both Staten Island Ferry terminals. We want to deliver enhancements more quickly. We want to reduce set up time for new users. We want to be in fifty thousand buildings. To do these things, we need your help.
LogCheck consists of an app for iOS and a Ruby on Rails 3.2 web application. We are seeking a capable person to steward our web app and design and develop new functionality.
