Job Description
ThinkEco, an energy efficiency startup in NYC, is looking to hire a front end developer. We are a rapidly growing high-tech company that does mission critical work for the NYC electricity grid, and such, our company has a high media profile and needs to maintain a very professional relationship with our customers. We have demanding customers, strive towards (and achieve!) impossible goals, and most importantly, enjoy what we do. The role: work as a member of our software team, with a focus on the front end. You'll be working with a team, interacting on a daily basis with back-end developers, marketers, and designers. The front end that you develop will be used by our end customers, which will be consumers and enterprise clients. Tasks and responsibilities may include, depending on the level of your experience and growth trajectory at ThinkEco: mobile and PC UI/UX strategy / design / engineering, writing code, software QA, and project management.
You'll need to have experience working in collaborative, high-pressure environments, with a minimum 3+ years of consumer facing project experience. Work references, code samples, and portfolios of past work will be requested. We consider your 'fit' into our team as important as the skills you bring to the table.
Must have skills: javascript, jquery, css/scss, asp.net, ajax guru, event-driven programming, basic unix IT, photoshop / illustrator
Highly desirable skills: c#, c++, java, iOS, entity framework, sql server, php, local storage, svn, apache, iis, wordpress, asp.net mvc 2 or greater experience |
