As an Engineer joining the product family, you're a creative problem-solver who takes initiative to make things happen. You take pride in upholding the UI, maintaining standards and writing maintainable code. You're passionate about what you do, you love side-projects, and are searching for an opportunity where you have real-world impact from day one.
Primary responsibilities:
- Bringing the biggest features of Skillshare to life.
- Architecting and maintaining a scalable frontend of Skillshare.
- Ensuring our products meet web standards and function across all browsers and devices.
- Above all; upholding the experience, and driving product improvements that hit our most ambitious goals.
Must-haves:
- Strong knowledge of CSS(3), HTML(5) and web standards.
- Familiarity with high-performance and scalable JavaScript.
- Experience with version control (e.g. Git).
- Excellent attention to detail (and we mean it).
- A passion to build something that will change the world.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Backbone, Sass and similar libraries.
- Experience with PHP, or another backend technology.
- Interest in responsive web design.
- Experience working in a startup environment. |
