Job Description
GLOW Interactive is looking for an experienced and creative JavaScript/Front End Developer to join our award-winning digital team in New York to build mobile HTML5 games, desktop experiences and more. If you’re ambitious, passionate, interested in art and technology, this position is for you!
Our ideal candidate:
Has a passion for CSS, JavaScript and HTML5
Has extensive experience with common JS libraries (JQuery, etc.)
Has strong Object Oriented Programming skills
Has experience with sprite sheets and graphic optimization techniques
Understands HTML Canvas
Has great communication skills and can work in a team environment
Understands the limitations of mobile browsers and cross-platform performance
Knows Photoshop and how to optimize graphics for performance
Is creative and has great UI/UX design sense
Is looking to innovate and push the limits of available technologies
Uses SVN/GIT
Has experience integrating front-end designs with server-side code
Knows some server-side languages (PHP, MySQL)
Possesses a strong foundation in Flash ActionScript 3
Has at least 3 years development experience
Isn’t afraid to experiment and try new things
