Job Description
Huge Labs, a product startup focused group within HUGE is seeking a Senior Web Developer with core Ruby on Rails chops to join our team. He or she will work with product designers and fellow developers to create innovative interactive solutions for an upcoming search-centric product. He or she will build, test, debug, troubleshoot programs and scripts for various functions, and modify existing code to add new features while contributing insights and suggestions for new functionality and techniques.
Requirements/Qualifications:
• 3-5 years development experience
• Experience as lead or senior developer a plus
• Experience with Ruby on Rails a strong plus
• Experience with mobile development a strong plus
• A strong understanding of Ajax, Object Oriented Javascript and modern browser capabilities
• Demonstrated experience with HTML, CSS design and layout
• Understanding of mobile web basics and limitations
• Must have excellent problem solving skills and love technical challenges.
• Must be self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
• Must be able to take initiative to be productive and efficient.
• Must be able to function independently and still work well in a "team oriented" environment.
• Strong communication skills (both in person and in writing) while interacting with individuals with a range of technical understanding.
• Working understanding of Git
• Experience with shell environments and UNIX/Linux administration
• Experience with HAML markup is a plus
