Job Description
The Infrastructure Developer will be involved in all aspects of building and improving our state-of-the-art high frequency trading platform. In-depth knowledge of C and C++, network protocols, and Unix/Linux operating systems must be coupled with passion for clean design and measurably fast code. Familiarity with exchange connectivity protocols and market data formats is a big plus, but not absolutely required, for the right candidate.
Skills & Requirements
Expert-level knowledge of C/C++ is a must and solid work experience with python is highly preferable.Must have an in-depth understanding of STL and its underlying data structures.
Must have in-depth knowledge of most POSIX libraries.
Must have working knowledge of the TCP/IP stack.
Must have knowledge of how operating system calls work.
Must have work experience with Linux.
Must know TCP/UDP/Multicast; knowledge of FIX/FAST are a plus.
Must be interested in writing feeds and gateways and working with generic infrastructure code, and finally, a single minded desire to tweak code to get the last microsecond optimization out.
Nice to have but not necessary: exposure to boost, c10k, libevent, java NIO, and solarflare cards.
The key skill we seek is the ability to write GOOD CLEAN CODE.
An interest in low latency trading is a must.
