Job Description
The GUI Developer will be responsible for the ongoing management of the design and development of our existing GUI platform. Our GUI is used by our traders, and is essentially central command for all trading operations. The GUI is built using the Qt and PyQt toolkits. This is a junior position and the right candidate will be trained in Qt and PyQt usage, if they do not already possess these skills. A desire to work with GUIs is a must, because that is the bulk of the position. However, over the longer term (6 months to a year), the role has the possibility of expanding to other aspects of our high frequency trading system, which may include infrastructure and trading strategy development.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
Strong analytical background
Experience with C++; java is acceptable in lieu of C++
Experience with Python
Understanding of SQL
Understanding of and exposure to Objected Oriented (OO) Design
Understanding of and exposure to Model View Controller Design
Understanding of and exposure to multi-threaded programming
