Job Description
BaubleBar is seeking engineers to help build the next generation of our ecommerce platform that is scalable and fast. This is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact at a fast-growing, VC-backed start-up. Your work will be used by millions of users. You’ll report directly into the VP of Engineering and work in our swanky new office located in Manhattan.

Looked at our web-site and immediately came up with several ideas to make the experience both more seamless and elegant at the same time.
Have 3-5+ years of real-world experience as a front-end software engineer.
Can transform an Adobe CS design into a beautiful, working user experience. Although mock-ups are great, you can also work directly with product managers to rapidly prototype a user experience based on a simple conversation.
Have been referred to as a coding ninja and consider yourself an expert at HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You can use both jQuery and vanilla JavaScript and know when its best to use each.
Have been working with or exploring the many new JavaScript-based frameworks such as Node.js or Backbone.js. Your excited and passionate about what you can do with these technologies.
Have strong, educated opinions on how to create a phenomenal user experience. You also have a keen ability to convince those around you on how great those opinions really are. Those opinions are naturally reflected in your work.
Have worked on mobile sites in the past for both iOS and Android.
Thrive by working in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
Are looking to join a team that is passionate, quirky and sometimes a little bit weird.
Love mentoring junior developers on how to write blazing fast code that works across all browsers and platforms.
Are passionate about technology and learning new things. You constantly push the limits of what you thought was possible.
Might have contributed to an open source project or written a blog post or two.
Can shoot a nerf gun with pinpoint accuracy.
Bonus points: prior experience with Magento or e-commerce.
