Henry Motte-Muoz
Founder & CEO,
Edukasyon.ph
Henry Motte-Muoz was born in Paris, France to a Filipina mother & a French father. He was raised between Paris, London, Zurich & the Philippines. Growing up, Henry always had the heart to help make the Philippines a better country.

He took up his basic education at the Sainte Ursule - Louise de Bettignies in France & graduated high school at the Southbank International School. For his tertiary education, Henry received his bachelor degree in Economics & Economic History at the London School of Economics in 2007. Craving for higher learning, Henry took up his MBA at the Harvard Business School under a scholarship from Bain Capital, & graduated in 2013 with distinction.

Acknowledging his contributions to society through his efforts as a social entrepreneur, Henry has been recognized by the following:

- 2017 ASEAN Social Entrepreneurship Award
- Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Social Entrepreneurs
- 2015 Asia Society 21 Young Leaders
- 2012 Harvard Business School Social Enterprise Institute - Summer Fellow

At current, he is the founder & CEO of Edukasyon.ph, an online marketplace for higher education services with a mission to democratize access to higher education for 70M ASEAN students spending over $54B in tuition fees.

Higher education in the region is afflicted by a poor discovery system, leading to high youth unemployment (>30%) & massive jobs-skills mismatch. In the Philippines alone, where over 1.7M high school students graduate every year, 1M go to college while only 400K end up getting a job. This means there are 1.3M students left behind, because they can't find the right course or can't afford to continue.

Believing technology to be the most efficient & scalable way of addressing this problem, Henry started Edukasyon.ph to empower students in finding education opportunities through a comprehensive database of schools, relevant advice & application convenience.

In just 18 months, the platform has helped more than 1,500,000 students, catered to 350 schools locally & abroad, & has attracted over 50 corporations, government offices, & foundations to join the advocacy of empowering students.
