This interactive workshop uses unique exercises combining improv comedy, startup methodologies, & decades of experience for entrepreneurs to practice & improve adapting to changing circumstances, building trust among teams customers & investors, communicating clearly, & making decisions with limited information. Mary started her first company at age 14 & has worked with teams & leaders as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, & executive at fast-growing unicorn companies. Her experience with startups & improv comedy inspired her to create the IMPROVE methodology, using improv comedy, business frameworks, & other research-backed techniques to help entrepreneurial leaders improve adaptability, communication, emotional intelligence, personal development & growth, & achieving their goals. She has worked with thousands of startups, Fortune 500 companies, & top universities, including TechStars, 500 Startups, CBSi, R/GA, Silicon Valley Bank, Square, Lyft, among others. She is the author of Straight from the Investor's Mouth: 111 Pieces of Advice for Entrepreneurs & gave a TED talk about using improv comedy to improve entrepreneurial leadership skills.
Mary is a graduate of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, The Second City, & the Upright Citizens Brigade.
