Successful entrepreneurs get more than money from their early advisers. The benefits of having advisers include technical, business & managerial expertise & leads to potential customers & other investors.
These issues will be discussed by Cliff Schorer, a director of Columbia Business School's Lang Entrepreneurship center.
Following a successful business career founding a number of startups & serving as the CEO of GEOVideo Networks in partnership with Lucent Technologies, Bell Laboratories, specializing in the technology for transmitting HD video over fiber, Cliff joined Columbia University's Graduate School of Business faculty as the Director of the Entrepreneur in Residence program. In the spring of 2005, he was awarded the Distinguished Service
Award for his contribution to the study of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Columbia & in 2007 he received the Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence. In 2012 Columbia Business School raised an endowment in Cliff's name in recognition for his efforts in supporting young entrepreneurs.
