Xiaodi Zhang, CPO at 1stdibs, has had all of those experiences & now leads a team of 27 Product Managers & Designers at 1stdibs.Learn how she transitioned to Product without training or technical experience, survived the dot-com bubble, & navigated through eBay & Gilt to land her dream job at 1stdibs. Without knowing it, Xiaodi created her own career path. In this talk, she will highlight the key experiences & critical decisions that propelled her to where she is today.
About the Speaker:Xiaodi joined 1stdibs as the first product hire. Over the last six years, she has led the transformation of the luxury marketplace & helped grow the company from 350 today. As CPO, Xiaodi manages the Product & Design organizations. Her responsibilities include leading the annual strategy planning process & developing the right frameworks & tools to ensure success at 1stdibs.Along the way, she has built a team of nearly 30 rockstar product managers & designers.Prior to 1stdibs, Xiaodi held leadership positions at Gilt & eBay. While at eBay, she spent five invaluable years in Shanghai, learning first hand the importance of grit, scale & competition. Her China experience still shapes how Xiaodi approaches product strategy today.Originally from China, Xiaodi moved to the States at 9 & grew up in Alabama & Texas. As a result, her go-to comfort foods include dumplings, fried okra & Tex Mex.
