Topic:
In this meetup, we will discuss using the Debian distribution & the BeagleBone hardware platform to implement an IoT application. Specifically, the use of MQTT to implement a weather station application will be demonstrated & the code will be available to all attendees. We will discuss initial prototyping on your desktop Linux installation as well as issues you will need to address when migrating the code to the BeagleBone. Finally, we will touch briefly on the differences between prototype & production environments & detail some of the considerations & choices that will need to be made when moving beyond the prototyping phase.
