This month with Open Source NYC we're excited to be discussing IP & Law surrounding open source work. There's a lot to dig into here, with different types of licenses & how they interact with each other, intellectual property rights, creating or using open source work within a larger company that has content that is not open source, how to protect your work, & issues of trademarks & patenting.
We'll be welcoming Barton Beebe as our guest, a Professor of Intellectual Property Law at NYU. You can see more about him at bartonbeebe.com.
As usual we'll make space for anyone who is looking for collaborators or contributors to projects to talk, & continue chatting about ways we can evolve the meetup to be the best it can be!
