John Montroy is a Big Data engineer at Jet. A former SQL analyst who forgot his place, he loves distributed systems, functional programming, & probably some other buzzword-filled topics, too. Outside of work, he plays a bunch of instruments & can usually be found at weird performance venues on the weekend.
Alex Naspo is a Software Engineer who was hurt deeply through his experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS). His engineering life now is dedicated to a more valiant cause: distributed key-value data. Outside the walls of jet.com, Alex enjoys taking photographs & going for hikes.
