Karen Hsu Chief Revenue Officer BlockCypher With over 20 years of experience in technology companies, Karen is co-inventor of 5 patents & has worked in a variety of engineering, marketing & sales roles to bring new products to market. She has worked on Data Integration, Business Intelligence, & CRM solutions at companies including IBM, Siebel Systems, Informatica, & SugarCRM. She has also worked closely with standards organizations such as SWIFT, NACHA & ACORD. As an undergraduate at Stanford University, Karen co-founded BASES, one of largest student run organizations at Stanford today dedicated to entrepreneurship. Karen has a Bachelors of Science degree in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University.
Lily Liu,CoFounder Earn.com Lily is a cryptocurrency investor & advisor, with a background as a CFO & operating executive in the US & China. Most recently, Lily co-founded Earn.com which was recently acquired by Coinbase. Previously, Lily was the CFO of Chinaco Hospital Corporation, where she built a 500-bed, international standard general hospital in Cixi, just outside of Shanghai. It was China's first foreign joint venture, private general hospital. Lily also worked at KKR in New York as well as McKinsey in New York & Beijing. Lily received a BA in Economics & International Relations from Stanford, & studied East Asian Studies at Harvard.
Shuonan Chen, Founding Partner IOVC/Agile VC, CEO of Shinect (Silicon Valley-based community of 5,000+ engineers passionate about entrepreneurship), & Board Member of North America Blockchain Association. At IO & Agile, Shuo has invested in & helped various startups globalize & expand into new markets; notable investments include Boom (unicorn), Chariot (acquired by Ford), Checkr (unicorn), Grubmarket, Matternet, Node.io, Rescale & Zenreach. She is also a Lecturer at UC Berkeley & Faculty at Singularity University. Prior, Shuo worked at Goldman Sachs in investment banking, where she was involved in deals including Alibaba's $21.8 billion IPO, the largest IPO in US history. There, she also helped run the convertibles business & represented the firm on the Board of Women in Finance. Before that, Shuo was at PwC, where she worked on Google's $12.5 billion acquisition of Motorola & LinkedIn's $119 million acquisition of SlideShare. She also ran Cashify, a social enterprise for financial literacy. Shuo graduated cum laude from UC Berkeley with a triple major (and 2 minors) in 3 years, & has been a Board Member for Berkeley's alumni association. She also completed a JD with the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where her work on financial regulation will be soon published by Cambridge University Press.
Vanishree Rao, PhD, Senior Cryptographer Intertrust Technologies Vanishree is passionate about identifying security pain points & designing, developing, & deploying security/cryptography solutions. At Intertrust Technologies currently her main focus areas are blockchain technologies, white box cryptography & digital rights management. Prior to Intertrust, she was a Research Scientist at Xerox PARC, where she worked on various government-funded as well as industry-need driven security projects. She obtained her PhD in Theoretical Cryptography from UCLA. Her advisor was Professor Amit Sahai, a world-renowned Cryptographer. She has worked on various areas in cryptography, including, zero-knowledge proofs, multi-party computation protocols, key exchange protocols & program obfuscation.
