Customer discovery is a technique to connect to your potential customers to understand their pain point, journey & desire to solve their problem/challenge. During this presentation & hands-on workshop, Desiree Frieson, an innovation program developer, will help you make sense of your business model & product roadmap through customer discovery techniques.

About NYDesigns
This chat will take place at theNYDesignsincubator in Long Island City, Queens. Our 25,000 square foot incubator & fabrication lab allows hardware entrepreneurs & designers to build their products & business operations. Our incubator provides access to strategists in residences, mentors, programming, community events, & other resources to help propel entrepreneurs to the next stage.

About Desiree Frieson
As the Assistant Director of NYDesigns, Desiree is responsible for creating & leading programming for NYDesign residents & building out the marketing communication platform. She currently is an Adjunct Lecturer at Iona College & Brooklyn College. Prior to joining NYDesigns, she was the Blackstone LaunchPad at NYU Program Manager coaching student entrepreneurs through the lean startup process & matching early stage teams with startup mentors. She previously worked with NeighborWorks America as a Public Affairs & Communications Advisor, helping 83 non-profit affordable housing developers on telling their story. She spent several years prior to NeighborWorks America on marketing communications for tech startups & nonprofit organizations, in addition to working on her own public relations web app startup. Desiree received her Masters of Business Administration in Marketing from Walden University & Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts from Wesley College.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to & from the event?
Parking is slim. We would not recommend driving. You can take the E/G/M/7 to Court Square or the E/F/M/R to Queens Plaza. It is about a 15 minute walk over to our location from either station.

Space is very limited so our refund policy is strict. Full refund will only be granted if request is made 48 hours in advance. Email info@nydesigns.org to request a refund.
