Ryan Schreiber founded the global music media company, Pitchfork, & served alternately as its CEO & Editor-in-Chief from 1996 to 2019. Under his leadership, Pitchfork became the most influential destination in publishing for music discovery & criticism, attracting a monthly readership of more than 14 million UVs. He also launched an international series of music festivals & events, including the annual Pitchfork Music Festivals in Chicago & Paris, & oversaw Pitchfork's acquisition by Cond Nast in 2015.
Schreiber has twice been featured in Time magazine's annual Time 100 poll of the world's most influential people & holds an honorary arts doctorate from Columbia College Chicago.
