Ashley Marshall

Ashley is a job captain for Whitehall Interiors. Before her work in the residential sector, she finished her Bachelors of Architecture from Syracuse University in 2014, & was awarded the James Britton Outstanding Thesis of the Year Award for her work Skin: The Lines between Fashion & Architecture. Besides her love of architecture & art, Ashley spends her free time designing & creating architectural, Afrocentric jewelry & clothing.
Mark Gardner

Jaklitsch / Gardner Architects
Mark is a principal at Jaklitsch / Gardner Architects. Located in New York City, Jaklitsch / Gardner Architects is an award-winning design practice & studio that works across scales from product design to interiors to buildings. Mr. Gardner has led many of Jaklitsch / Gardners design initiatives, & works to best understand the role of design as a social practice. His firm has won an AIA National Honor Award & numerous AIANY, NOMA & Architizer design awards. The practice is currently working with a non-profit partner on a Honey Bee Study Center in Dodoma, Tanzania. Mr. Gardner is the Director of the Graduate Program in Architecture & Assistant Professor of Architectural Practice & Society at the School of the Constructed Environments, Parsons the New School. He previously taught Professional Practice at PennDesign from 2007-2012. Mr. Gardner is on the Board of Overseers for the University of Pennsylvania- School Of Design. Mr. Gardner is a Past President & currently serves as Advocacy Chair for nycobaNOMA, the New York Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects. He is a member of the AIANY Exhibition Committee & Past Co-Chair & current member of the AIANY Diversity & Inclusion Committee, which he helped to restart with Venesa Alicea. He is on the Board of Trustees of the Van Alen Institute & a Fellow of the Urban Design Forum.
