Visit us in New York City on Wednesday, May 16th at 6:30pm Eastern Time to see an Intro to Data Science presentation by Sergey Fogelson (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sergeyfogelson/), Metis instructor & consulting data scientist.

He will present a typical data science workflow & will go over some basic exploratory data analysis, create a machine learning model to predict a categorical outcome, & to analyze the performance of the model that weve built.

This event also serves as an info session for Sergey's upcoming 6-week, evening Introduction to Data Science course (https://www.thisismetis.com/courses/introduction-to-data-science), which runs from June 4th through July 11th Monday & Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 9:30pm Eastern Time. Sergey Fogelson
Metis Intro to Data Science Instructor

Sergey Fogelson is the vice president of analytics & measurement sciences at Viacom. He began his career as an academic at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where he researched the neural bases of visual category learning & obtained his Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience. After leaving academia, Sergey got into the rapidly growing startup scene in the NYC metro area, where he has worked as a data scientist in alternative energy analytics, digital advertising, cybersecurity, finance, & media. He is heavily involved in the NYC-area teaching community & has taught courses at various bootcamps, & has been a volunteer teacher in computer science through TEALSK12. When Sergey is not working or teaching, he is probably hiking. (He thru-hiked the Appalachian trail before graduate school).
