LaJun, "I'm a Queer, Genderfluid, Black, Femme, New Media Artist, Maker, & Creative Technologist living in New York.""I am dedicated to making art abstracted from my personal experiences. I have created pieces that integrate performance, virtual reality, & physical computing to question our current use of technology & forms of communication. My art is part of my research centered around creating Technology & Mediums that are inherently intersectional allowing communities that have ignored to have a space to be recognized, loved, accepted & heard. Most of my work is about interconnection, & experiencing life beyond the material world.I have had the opportunity to show & speak about my work at, Dance on Camera at Lincoln Center, MakerFaire, National Sawdust, Liberty Science Center, Chelsea Film Festival, Creative Tech Week & Weird Reality. I am also the Lead Character Animator for NeuroSpeculative Afrofeminism which premiered at Sundance Film Festival & is currently touring at festivals including SXSW & Tribeca Film Festival."
