EVENT DETAILS |
As the cloud continues to drive down the cost of storage & compute, a new generation of applications have emerged, creating a new set of requirements for databases. These applications need databases to store terabytes to petabytes of new types of data, provide access to the data with millisecond latency, process millions of requests per second, & scale to support millions of users anywhere in the world. To support these requirements, you need both relational & non-relational databases that are purpose-built to handle the specific needs of your applications.
AWS offers the broadest range of databases purpose-built for your specific application use cases. Database Week at the AWS Loft is an opportunity to learn about Amazon's broad & deep family of managed database services. During this three day event, you will learn how to get started, how to support applications, & how to scale.
Who should attend
Development teams, engineers, architects, & system administrators who are eager to learn how to deploy applications in highly available, scalable architectures.
To participate in the Database Week workshops, please make sure you have completed the following steps at least 24 hours in advance:
1. Check that the laptop you're bringing will allow you to access AWS SDKs, AWS Console & the AWS CLI - this means that you have no restrictions on the machine that would prevent you from making a connection to the AWS environment.
2. Confirm that your AWS account is usable with admin privileges. This should not be an AWS account from the company you work for. This should be a personal account (if you don't have one you should create one before attending the loft). AWS Credits will be provided to cover the cost of the labs.
